The Quezon City Police District conducted a checkpoint yesterday September 18, 2016, specifically in E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City and asked the motorcyclists to pull over for inspection.
Dennis Ofilada, a former assistant cameraman in one of the well-known TV networks in the Philippines was arrested when the QCPD found seven sachets of shabu inside his bag.
According to the QCPD Head Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, they flagged Ofilada because he’s not wearing a helmet but only to find out that they will be able to see sachets of illegal drugs.
Based on the report of Inquirer, Ofilada presented his TV5 ID and said that he’s still part of the network where in fact, the investigators have discovered that Dennis Ofilada is no longer an employee to TV5 since 2014.
Along with the seven sachets of shabu worth Php70, 000.00 the QCPD also checked his phone where the messages of illegal drugs transactions can be found and be used against him.
