Amid Senator Leila de Lima’s cry for harassment in the Congress probe regarding prison drug trades, Senator Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson still sees a strong need for de Lima to answer allegations.
He cites consistencies in the testimony of the two NBI agents who claimed that they gave drug money to de Lima while she was Secretary of Justice.
“Pang-harass man o hindi ang pinakaimportante masagot niya. Napakahirap i-ignore ang lumabas na testigo sa HOR (House of Representatives) kasi may pagkakatugma,” Lacson said in an interview on radio interview.
Lacson also claims that the 2 NBI agents are the most credible of all witnesses because they will not gain or loss anything by testifying.
“Maski preso ang iba roon, pero may dalawa NBI bakit, anong motibo ng dalawa NBI na magpahayag na nagdala ng pera sa kanya on two occasions, I think November and December, tig-P5 million. I-address niya dapat,” Lacson added.
He added that it’s hard to dismiss the allegations as false because of the evidence regarding de Lima’s link to the drug trade are strong.
“Maraming issue na di mo pwede basta i-dismiss. Hina-harass na kung hina-harass, pero kung may ebidensya at may basehan ang ginagawang sabihin nating pagha-harass kailangan talaga masagot,” he said.
